california lover

Cue in Heart Skipped A Beat - The XX

I love palm trees. Always reminds me of how much I love California and basking in its sunny warm days. And  with the overcast days lately, it was nice to see clear skies again.

those bee-stung lips...

Pure beauty. It's times like these where I wish I could've kept my gap between my two front teeth and not having to go through the brace-face phase back in my pre-teen years. Except for the fact that I lack the natural sultry look of Miss Wixson.

the great gatsby

"I've been drunk for about a week now, and I thought it might sober me up to sit in a library."

The Great Gatsby

A favorite classic, The Great Gatsby.  I tip my hat to F. Scott Fitzgerald for influencing my perspective of humanity and the way my thoughts flow into prose, not always understood by others. The point of this post was not to salute Fitzgerald, though he deserves one, but a prelude of my excitement for the newly adapted film of The Great Gatsby. Coming out in 2012, with Carey Mulligan starring as Daisy Buchanan. More to post on this topic later. In the meantime, feast your eyes on these beautiful images from the 1974 film of The Great Gatsby. Though these photos do Mia Farrow's beauty any justice.

Who am I?

Human relationships were strange. I mean you were with one person for a while, eating and sleeping and living with them, loving them, talking to them, going places together and then it stopped. then there was a short period when you weren't with anybody, then another woman arrived, and you ate with her and you fucked her, and it all seemed so normal, as if you had been waiting just for her and she had been waiting for you. i never felt right being alone; sometimes it felt good but it never felt right.

russh clothing

"Russh has quickly gained a cult-like following, perfectly combining elements of tender girlish charm and bohemian flare mixed up with a bit of 70s rock."

The styling here is amazing. I am completely feeling the whole boho x nature vibe here.

the cable knit cooties

The cable knit sweater is chunky and thick and extremely comfortable. I love the soft pastely colors and different patterns in each sweater. With colder months ahead, it's due time to swap the cardigans for a more protecting cable knit.

Erin Wasson

Erin Wasson for Jalouse November 2010.
Erin Wasson sports cozy knits and laid-back underwear by Maison Martin Margiela, Kenzo and the one and only god Alexander Wang. I am absolutely head over heels for the layers of necklaces she is wearing here from her very own Low Luv x Erin Wasson jewelry collection. She is so inspiring and without a doubt, utterly gorgeous. Total girl crush.

pre 20th century european art really floats my boat

Being an art history student, it's expected for me to cultivate a love for all art preceding the 20th century. But that doesn't mean I don't love Andy Warhol and the masterminds of modern art and architecture. If I could, I would definitely time travel all the way back to Europe in the 1700s to live in the Rococo era in all its glory. Picture sophisticated elegant buildings in its stylish grace at the height of refinement. Oh, sweet wonders. What is your favorite era in art history?
